Thank you for being part of the MyFace cadaveric workshop on the 7-8th May 2017 at Academia located at
Singapore General Hospital. Together with the world class anatomist, Professor Kim Hee Jin & Professor Gil
Young-Chun from Yon-sei University of Korea, plastic surgeons Dr Cho Jinhwan (Korea), Dr Michael Kane (USA),
Dr Niamh Corduff (Australia), & Dr Fong Poh Him (Singapore), maxillo-facial surgeon Dr Victor Fan
(Singapore) , ENT facial plastic surgeon Dr Valerie Tay (Singapore), Cosmetic surgeon Dr Patrick Chen
(Australia), Dermatologist Dr Park Je Young (Korea), Ophthamologists Dr Choo Chai Teck & Dr Leo Seo
Wei, and Ms Mei Archer Leow (hyperbaric clinic), we brought the training to another higher level.
The lectures were attended by more than 100 doctors from 13 different countries and the cadaveric laboratory was
fully occupied with about 60 doctors. It was enlightening to explore the difficult facial anatomy together with
Prof Kim and his team, and we emerged with a better understanding and a new found respect for the complexity of
anatomy. It will certainly translate into better patient's care when we return to our clinical
practice.
Once again, I look forward to meeting you again in our next MyFace workshop in 2018 and be part of your journey
in learning and applying new knowledge.
Regards,

WELCOME
MESSAGE
When working on aesthetics which would involve some manipulation of
normal tissue, it is important for the doctor to fully grasp the normal anatomy and physiology of the
body.
Reading, watching videos & demonstration by experts have all been
used to educate doctors on the subject. However, actually doing the procedures as a person is the best approach
and cadaveric dissection allows the doctor to feel and then actually see what he/she is trying to
do.
I hope those attending this course will find it educational and
enriching.
