Dr Choo Chai-Teck is the past president and founding member of Asia Pacific Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He has organized and conducted numerous regional oculoplastic teaching courses. He has spearheaded the studies on some important microscopic anatomical features of oriental lower lid and upper lid. Dr Choo has been invited by numerous hospitals in the region and has travelled widely to impart his oculoplastic surgical skills. He is an Editorial Board Member, ORBIT Journal and an Invited Editorial Board Reviewer of Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Journal. He received the APAO 2008 Distinguished Service Award for the meritorious services in Ophthalmology in the Asia-Pacific region.

He had obtained his residency training in Ophthalmology and a 2-year fellowship in Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery from Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.  His areas of training and expertise include functional and reconstructive ophthalmic plastic surgery, esthetic oculo-facial surgery and Ocular oncology and is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.  He is active in furthering the cause of the subspecialty in the South and East-Asian region and is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate education in Singapore and the region.  His special interests include esthetic and functional reconstructive surgery of the upper and midface, orbital reconstruction, anophthalmic sockets, Thyroid Eye Disease and pediatric oculoplastics.

Dr. Damkerng Pathomvanich MD., FACS completed his internship, surgical residency training and one year fellowship in cosmetic surgery and hair restoration surgery all in the  United State. He has established his private practice in Hair Restoration Surgery in Bangkok, Thailand since 1991. He is certified and recertified by the American Board of Surgery, American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery, Certificate in Cosmetic Surgery and is a Fellow of American College of Surgeons. He was the past board of governor of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS) and is a Director of the Fellowship Training Program in Hair Restoration Surgery approved by ISHRS since 2004.

One of his contributions in hair restoration surgery is minimizing  follicular transection during strip harvesting. He developed the Open Technique 10 years ago which has been widely published in journals and practiced by many hair surgeons all over the world. For this he was honored as Pioneer by the International Hair Forum in 2002. The latest refinement of the technique was presented in the 2008 Korean Regional Workshop in hair restoration surgery.  Lastly he successfully reduces the width of donor scar after wide excision in megasession with his personal technique and lectured at annual scientific ISHRS meeting in Montreal, Canada Sept ,08.

He has contributed many articles related to hair restoration in medical journals and two textbooks on the topics of Asian Hair Transplantation: Hair Replacement Surgical and Medical: Stough and Haber, 1996;  Hair Transplantation: Haber and Stough, 2006. He is also the chief editor of a new textbook “Hair Restoration in the Asians”  published by Springer 2010. Currently he was assigned by Walter Unger to write two chapters regarding Donor Harvesting to minimize  follicular transaction, skin hook technique and Hair Transplantation in Asian Women in his new Hair Transplantation text book soon to be published.

Since graduating from the U.K. in 1998, Dr Roy Chio has taken a special interest in Anti-ageing Medicine and Aesthetic/Cosmetic Surgery.  

Fluency in at least 6 important working languages has enabled him to keep abreast of the latest developments worldwide .  

In 2007, Dr Chio and like-minded Professionals founded the Anti-ageing and Aesthetic Medicine Society of Singapore (AAAMSS).   

He is the Inaugural and Current President.  

Dr Chio travels frequently attending and lecturing at conferences and Workshops to impart his expertise.   

The East Asia distributor of the Powered Liposuction equipment Lipomatic has appointed Dr Chio as ‘Liposuction Trainer and Pioneer in East Asia’  

As an engaging public speaker, Dr Chio is regularly featured in the Press. He has appeared on “Today in Singapore”, the Today and Straits Times newspapers.

Dr Venessa Phua

Dr Vanessa Phua has a history of training in ophthalmology and aesthetic medicine internationally. Educated in the United Kingdom, with an ophthalmic microsurgical background, Dr Vanessa Phua has an interest in aesthetic medicine. This includes a range of non-surgical and minimally-invasive forms of anti-ageing enhancements. Her signature treatments are Joie De Vivre Face & Body Contouring and Papillon Revitalizing Threadlift.

Dr Phua is certified in Face & Body Filler contouring. This procedure is non-surgical, with minimal recovery time, yielding instant, natural, soft curves, and has coined it the Joie De Vivre range of aesthetic enhancements.
